The veterinarian services rendered to our baby, Jelly Roll Sinatra, were outstanding. The doctor and her staff were compassionate, professional, and caring. The staff also went above and beyond to make sure Jelly Roll received excellent quality service. There is no doubt Jelly Roll received the best care at Dr. Domotor’s Animal House, and the doctor and her staff are the absolute best!

I don’t even know where to begin. We brought our baby girl Lucky, our rescue puppy from Jamaica, in after she had been unwell for a while. She had previously been given the all-clear, so hearing that she has pyometra completely broke our hearts. Dr. Kathleen McGrew handled everything with such incredible compassion, kindness, and care. Having to deliver such devastating news can’t be easy, but the way she spoke to us, reassured us, and supported us through it meant more than I can ever put into words. In one of the most frightening moments for us as pet owners, she made us feel seen, understood, and not alone. Kathleen, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for caring for Lucky the way you did. Thank you for your patience, your warmth, and for helping us take the steps to get her the urgent treatment she needs. We will never forget how you made us feel in that moment. A huge thank you as well to Cassandra, who was so kind and supportive throughout everything — your compassion did not go unnoticed. This isn’t just a veterinary practice — these are people who genuinely love and care for animals and the families behind them. I am beyond grateful we found you.

Do not go to this vet. This week, my dog was with them for the afternoon, I pick him up at 5 pm and by 6 he was dead. After leaving him with them for hours to run non-urgent diagnostics (some of which the vet failed to even inform me on the results until I asked), I didn’t even make it home from picking him up before I was rushing him to an emergency vet as his tongue turned blue and he couldn’t breathe. Earlier when I was able to speak with the vet in the middle of his visit, she very incorrectly examined his X-rays and seemed like she was unfocused/doing too many things at once. Finally (based off a radiologist’s reading) my boy was given amoxicillin for some unknown infection. Hours with him, $1155 dollars later, and he gets some antibiotics with no clear diagnosis. That’s it. I get him back and he can’t breathe and DIES within 45 minutes of leaving Animal House. Yes, bulldogs have issues with breathing, but the vet nor her team AT ANY POINT WHILE THEY HAD HIM IN THEIR CARE called me to inform his breathing was alarming and he should be seen by an emergency vet. When I went in the next morning, all I was told is that they had told me if his breathing got bad, I should take him to an ER. Well, the same goes for you all. If his breathing was bad, you CALL THE OWNER and alert them. I was also told that the vet had done her best to squeeze me in. If you know you can’t provide the right level of care, then say it. If you don’t have the time, then why schedule the appointment. This was a non urgent appt that didn’t need to happen. He didn’t die from some unknown infection. He died because he was stressed and couldn’t breathe. You don’t keep the dog who is clearly stressed out for 3 hours straight and then turn around and tell the very upset owner the next day that I should have done something differently and taken him to an emergency vet. What I should have done was never taken him here. I am due to have a baby on February 10th and I strongly believe that my baby will not meet my beloved dog as a direct result of the inaction and lack of care taken by Dr Hurtado and her team. I have never been so angry and upset and a lot of it is directed at myself: if I hadn’t taken him to this vet, he would still be alive. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind about that. My dog was a beloved certified therapy dog who had worked with cancer patients and hundreds of children. He deserved so much more than the care he received at Animal House.

Our dog had her teeth cleaned with 4 extractions. I felt our pup was in good hands and we had good communication during the day. Good post op instructions. She’s 4 days post procedure and doing well.

My two pups have been part of the Animal House Family for many years. Staff is attentive and polite. I make my appointments with Dr Brynes. She is thoughtful, caring toward her “patients” and super smart.
