Made plans for a day date which included starting with a short hike to a waterfall. We parked for $5 (or if you wanted a longer walk, you can park before the ranger entrance and hike more) but we wanted a short hike that would take about 1 hour. It was great to be in nature along trees, rock cliffs, running waters. Parts of the trail were wide and parts were narrow. Twice we had to cross on small rocks through the stream of water. There were small man made dams with small portions of the waterfall (about 3 to 4) then we arrived at the final waterfall. It was invigorating to see it. High cliffs all around in almost 270 degrees and the waterfall about 30 to 40ft long falling into a small pool and eventually going down the rest of the hill side to the lower falls. The day was hot at 9am and the sky was clear and blue (a few white clouds). Then we turned back. The whole hike took about 65 minutes.
If we didn't have plans for the rest of the day we could have brought some food and had lunch at the picnic tables near the parking spots.
There are longer trails if you are interested in longer hikes. There is a nature center with some activities for children ( it was closed when we went),
but could be fun for your kids. There are restrooms near the nature center building.

Recommend to buy an annual pass.
Few trails and I enjoy the ones leading to the small waterfall.
More trees ๐ฒ growing out since Covid.
A little hard to find parking in weekends so be there early morning or afternoon.
Will run into bear ๐ป, and donโt run! They rather not to bother you.
The trail full of small gravels so recommend you to wear hiking shoes otherwise a little slippery go uphill or down hill.
What I love about the trail is well maintained and most of the trails are shaded by trees.
If you are senior citizens, please bring your hiking shoes and hiking poles for safety reasons. Some uphills or downhills areas need to walk slowly with caution; the trail is slippery not much traction coz full of tiny rocks/gravels.
Close to waterfalls you will encounter few Ricky area and most of journey is peaceful and easy hike.
Park near ticket booth, or there are two more parks when drive up and restrooms available near the parking lot.

This park is a small nice park that recently opened in 2025 nestled in a canyon. The hikes here are quite nice, like the Waterfall Trail or the Bill Cull to Cunningham Overlook one as they provide pretty nice views. The water is nice and flowing here all year and the park has variable fees based on the day you visit.

Iโm an avid hiker and I can confidently say that this has been one of the most beautiful hikes in my life. I visited on a calm Monday morning and felt like I was hiking in my own private garden. It will not be an exaggeration to say that this place resembles the garden of Eden. Parking is five dollars and there are plenty of parking spots inside the park. As expected this park is very similar to Eaton canyon with its water features and slight inclines, but the difference here is that there is no graffiti anywhere. This place looks like unexplored land that has been nicely maintained by the city of Monrovia.
