It's a skateboard shop and they sell skateboard things; I think that's worthy of 3 stars to start. I've been in STIX maybe 20 times in my life and have never once been approached by an employee asking if they could help me out. I don't know how these folks were able to beat out Advantise Ride or United Boardshop in the SGV.
If you like being left alone while two or three guys talk to each other while watching TV and ignore you, you'll love it!
If you know what you want already, just buy it online cause they never have anything in stock.

This is my local shop so I am in there often. They have a great selection of decks, wheels, shoes, Tshirts, and trucks. Best of all is the rewards program they have. Each of the folks that have attended to me have been fantastic and the owner has helped track down specific items I wanted. If you have a chance, check them out or one of the other 2 shops (Claremont and So. Pasadena.)

Stix is the best skateshop. Every time I show up, they greet me upon entering the store and always help me find whatever it is I may need. I was looking for a specific pair of shorts and shirt. They were out of my size so they ordered the shirt from a sister store and went out of their way to place an order for the shorts I wanted so I made it worth the order and ordered 2 pairs of these shorts. Not to mention, their loyalty program adds points to redeem for store credit. It's truly the best place for your skateboarding needs.

We had a wonderful experience visiting StixSGV. Upon entrance Max greeted myself and my family and was beyond helpful. Customer service was excellent. The store itself has a great selection and located in a convenient part of town. Definitely worth a stop!
