The staff there was fabulous! There were friendly, gave me advice and were very informative about my dog. My dog is so much better!! He's running around and playful again!! Thank you Best friends !! John along with their super fluffly gray cat in the front are always very friendly and welcoming and its so easy to communicate with. Despite the negative reviews I gave this place the benefit of the doubt because a lot of times its neglectful owners that have bad experiences for not properly taking care of their pets and don't bring them in until they're in a very bad shape and not only does it become expensive but it gets to a point where the doctor can only do so much. I brought my snowy here 3 times already and the three times the vet and the staff have been nothing but helpful. I am so happy with them thatI'm bringing the rest of my pets here because they'll be in good hands and I love that communication with them is accessible when you drop off your pet for care and you want updates. THE PRICES: Seems like something many want to complain about but keep in mind that unless you do what you're supposed to be doing like keeping vaccines, Physical exams and maintenance to your pet up-to-date, expenses can pile up once your pet gets a condition whether it's of age or from neglect. Remember that owning a pet is a choice we make ourselves and we are responsible for their well-being. Like most places, prices are based on the areas and Monrovia is a nice bougie area so prices are accordingly but most importantly they get the job done and they take care of your pet. I almost lost my snowy three times because of congestive heart failure and the three times he has been taken care of with much care and professionalism and has came back home to his family healthy and thriving. Can accurately give a better rating as I went there without an appointment so the wait time was fairly long between people coming in and out of the room for stuff. But everything was handled well, clean place. Very cute cats they have there
My indoor/outdoor cat was attacked by a stray and wounded. I couldn't tell the extent bc he wouldn't let me near it. Being new to the area, I didn't have a vet established yet. I called multiple vet hospitals and they all told me they were too full to see him that day, except for Best Friends! They got me in same day. My cat needed surgery that day, and a few follow up appointments. All went smoothly. Very kind and caring staff. The Veterinarian is calm and responsive and you can tell there is a respectful atmosphere in the office. The Vet's cat and small dog were in the office- I've never seen that done before. They roam freely and seemed unaffected by the animals coming in for care.
"Learn how to type in proper English before you try and write an entire paragraph when you complain. Animal medicine is expensive in general and there is usually always a wait unless your pet is actually dying at that moment. If not then you and your pet will have to wait and it WILL be expensive. Maybe have your pet fixed/spayed before you want to cry about vet bills. It would have been a lot cheaper to have a dog then." was reading reviews and saw the owner responded with this to someone who left a bad review with a good reason.. Such a bad response while not even answering / addressing the customers' concerns of why they were quoted different prices than originally promised and having their time not respected. Just reading the reviews makes me never want to go here
